Michael P. Daly
President & Chief Executive Officer
Michael P. Daly was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and the Bank in October 2002. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Daly served as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending from October 1997 until January 2000 and then as Executive Vice President of the Company and the Bank from January 2000 to October 2002.
Executive Vice President, Commercial Lending, Credit
George Bacigalupo has more than 30 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. Mr. Bacigalupo has significant experience in commercial, corporate and specialty lending—including senior management roles in risk management and credit administration. In his role as Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking, he will be responsible for the commercial and asset based lending lines of business throughout Berkshire’s footprint. Mr. Bacigalupo received his bachelor of science from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and his master of business from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University.
Sean A. Gray
Executive Vice President, Retail Banking
Sean A. Gray is Executive Vice President of Retail Banking. Mr. Gray joined the Company and the Bank in December of 2006 as First Vice President of Retail Banking. Mr. Gray is responsible for the development and implementation of all retail banking strategies, including branch activities and expansion, pricing, consumer lending, marketing, call center operations, facilities, product development and personal and commercial lines of insurance. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Gray was Vice President and Consumer Market Manager at Bank of America responsible for the sales and service operations of 31 branches in the Cambridge Massachusetts market. Mr. Gray earned his B.S. in Finance from Bentley College.
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Josephine Iannelli is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Iannelli joined Berkshire as Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer on March 4, 2013. She has 20 years of financial experience beginning with accounting policy roles at KPMG and KeyCorp. She joined National City Corporation in 2002 leading the accounting policy group and served in various roles at the bank through their acquisition and integration into PNC Financial. She has recently also provided independent accounting consulting services for top ten national banks. Ms. Iannelli graduated with a BA in Accounting from Baldwin-Wallace College.
Linda A. Johnston
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Linda A. Johnston is Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms. Johnston is responsible for overseeing and directing the Company’s human resources functions including compensation and benefits, performance and talent management, training, recruitment, development, executive compensation, and initiatives and practices that support the Company’s strategic direction. Ms. Johnston also serves as a key advisor to the Compensation Committee of the Company’s Board of Directors and has been part of the Company for more than 27 years.
Richard M. Marotta
Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Risk Officer
Richard M. Marotta is Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Risk Officer. Mr. Marotta joined the Company in December 2009 and is responsible for credit risk, loan review, loan documentation, internal audit, compliance and to provide strategic leadership for the Company’s future growth. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Marotta has more than 28 years of sophisticated banking experience, most recently he served as EVP and Group Head, Asset Recovery at KeyBank, and has extensive career experience in credit and risk management, including asset based lending portfolios.
