Berkshire Bank Foundations

Berkshire Bank has long been a leader in philanthropy and community involvement. It demonstrates its commitment to the communities it does business in through its charitable contributions, volunteerism and civic leadership. The Bank has three affiliated charitable foundations which since their inception have awarded nearly $12 million in donations to non-profit organizations.

They will award more than $1 million annually in the next few years. In addition to grant awards, the Bank also has an Employee Volunteer Program that carries out group community service projects that benefit non-profit organizations and communities the Bank does business in. Many bank officers and staff also hold volunteer leadership positions in non-profit and economic development organizations and fill critical roles in their operations. All of these efforts fulfill the vision of the Bank to help create healthy, vibrant, sustainable communities where educational and economic opportunities abound.

The three foundations affiliated with Berkshire Bank include:

  • Berkshire Bank Foundation, covering Berkshire County
  • Berkshire Bank Foundation – Pioneer Valley, covering Hampshire and Hampden Counties
  • Greater Berkshire Foundation, covering communities in eastern New York and southern Vermont served by Bank branches or offices.
