Using Telephone Banking

Before using the new telephone banking system, be sure to have your social security number handy. When you call, you'll be guided through the system and offered a menu of choices to access the information you need.

1. The first time you call, you will be asked for your social security number and personal identification number (PIN). The last four digits of the social security number is your initial PIN.

2. You will then be asked to change your initial PIN to a four-digit number known only to you. (You DO NOT need to make an initial inquiry on all of your accounts. This PIN will apply to all of your deposit and loan accounts.)

3. Each time you access your account information, you will be asked for your social security number and PIN.  This will identify you for all your deposit and loan accounts.  You may change your PIN number at any time.

Telephone Funds Transfer

An important tip - to make an account transfer using telephone banking, you must be within the account that you will be transferring from. The system will give you the choices of the accounts for transfers.

To transfer funds, new telephone banking users will need to print and complete a Funds Transfer Authorization Form; return the completed form to any Berkshire Bank location or mail to:  Berkshire Bank, Web Support, P. O. Box 1308, Pittsfield, MA  01202-1208.
