Standing Together Through Crisis

At Berkshire Bank, we are standing with our communities in this moment of crisis by lending an extra hand to partners across our network. We are determined to provide the resources we can to help people emerge from this crisis stronger than ever.
In addition to the support we have already committed to provide our clients and employees, we have also increased our support for community partners like the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts LGBT Chamber. We are working with these organizations, among others, to make sure that small businesses have the support they need to get back on their feet. This funding assistance will go to those that are most impacted by the financial fallout of the Coronavirus crisis to ensure that no one in our community is left behind.
We are committing $3 million in lines of credit, underwritten by our community partners, as well as $500,000 in grants to businesses. Our partner organizations have deep roots in the communities they serve, with long established relationships between businesses and people. They are ready and able to lead their networks forward through this crisis. We hope these resources not only help business owners to survive, but positions them to continue to be sources of strength to their community in this crisis and far beyond.
Berkshire Bank has been supporting our communities for over 170 years. That history has taught us that we are strongest when we work together, especially in times of crisis. In this pandemic and economic crisis, Berkshire Bank will do its part to help prepare for a brighter tomorrow.
