Boston, MA - Fri., Aug. 12, 2022 – Berkshire Bank, a leading socially responsible community-dedicated bank with branch locations in New England and New York, is pleased to announce the promotion of Aida Ramic to First Vice President, Regional Branch Manager of its Capital New York region, and the promotion of Aaron Averitt as First Vice President, Regional Branch Manager of its Capital Connecticut region.

With their experience and skill set, I have no doubt they will help in delivering on our vision to become a high performing, leading socially responsible community-dedicated bank.” Ramic will manage the daily operations of branches in the Capital Region of New York from Albany to Hudson, New York. Averitt will manage the daily operations of branches in the Capital, CT region that consists of areas surrounding Hartford and the Connecticut River Valley. Ramic brings more than 20 years of banking experience to her new role at Berkshire Bank. Before joining Berkshire in January 2022, she worked at Citizens Bank for 10 years. More recently, she was also a student ambassador at Citizens from 2020-21. In this capacity, she worked with local high schools and guidance counselors to provide high school juniors and seniors financial literacy and college prep sessions. She also assisted with opening checking accounts and student loans.
She is also active in her community as her passion is volunteering and connecting with local schools and businesses to teach financial literacy.
Ramic earned her bachelor’s degree from Post University in Connecticut and resides in Niskayuna, NY.
Aaron Averitt joined Berkshire Bank as a financial center manager in 2014 with a background that includes more than 16 years of management experience and more than eight years of retail banking management experience. Before joining Berkshire, Averitt worked at Bank of America. In his current role, he will oversee branches and drive customer-centric strategies that will create a strong market presence in the Hartford County area.
Outside of work, Averitt is an active volunteer with Junior Achievement and Habitat for Humanity. He has also served as a Board Director and as an Ambassador for the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce.
Averitt began his career in Charlotte, North Carolina, and currently resides in Forestville, Connecticut.
