John Haley has been named senior vice president, client experience & business administration and Anthony Segala, CAP® was appointed vice president, relationship manager. “With more than 40 years’ collective experience at market leading investment firms, John and Anthony bring tremendous expertise to support Berkshire’s clients, while positioning the bank to drive long-term growth in the Wealth Management division. Anthony’s background in philanthropy development at Fidelity Charitable and asset management combine to emphasize the differentiated approach to Wealth Management that we are building at Berkshire, with a focus on community, wellness, and social responsibility. John’s experience in operations, compliance, technology development, and client experience are well aligned with Berkshire’s Exciting Strategic Transformation (BEST) pillars of digitize, optimize, and enhance, and our clients will benefit as we build industry leading digital solutions,” stated Kathryn Hersey, CFA®, senior vice president, director of wealth management and chief investment officer. Haley brings over 25 years of experience at financial firms focused on client service, technology adoption, and operations. In this new role, he will be responsible for driving innovation in supporting the business process and technology to enhance the overall client experience. Prior to joining Berkshire Bank, Haley served as head of client administration for Wells Fargo Asset Management. For fifteen years prior, he contributed to the growth of Cambridge Trust Company’s wealth management division. He managed operations, tax, and technology enhancement, as director of wealth services for Cambridge Bancorp, parent of Cambridge Trust Company. Haley’s career began at State Street, supporting the custodial relationship and operations for both public fund entities and investment management firms. Haley is a graduate of Providence College where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He also earned his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Suffolk University. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Segala joins the Wealth Management team with a background from leading financial firms including Putnam Investments, Pioneer Investments, and Fidelity Investments. He will apply his extensive knowledge of capital markets, investments, asset allocation, and charitable planning strategies to guide business development at Berkshire Bank to support client relationship management. Prior to joining Berkshire Bank, Segala was VP, regional director, western region for Congress Asset Management. In this position, he was responsible for business development and relationship management efforts throughout the West Coast. Before this role, he was VP, charitable planning consultant with Fidelity Charitable Services, where he provided charitable planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals. Segala received his Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College in Environmental Studies. He also holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation and obtained his FINRA series 7, 6, & 63 licenses.
