Berkshire Hills Bancorp Promotes Sumant Pustake To Executive Vice President, Chief Transformation & Strategy Officer
BOSTON – February 16, 2023 – Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE:
BHLB), the parent company of Berkshire Bank, a leading socially responsible community bank with financial centers in New England and New York, is pleased to announce that Sumant Pustake, an experienced industry and Berkshire veteran, was promoted to EVP, Chief Transformation & Strategy Officer.

In his role as Executive Vice President, Chief Transformation & Strategy Officer, Mr. Pustake leads Berkshire’s transformation initiatives and provides essential support to solve large, complex challenges and drive high company performance. He works closely with Senior Management to accelerate growth, enable innovation, and meet the organization's short and long-term objectives. Additionally, Mr. Pustake continues to lead the strategy office and provide executive oversight to Berkshire’s marketing and communications divisions. He reports to President and COO Sean Gray.

Mr. Pustake has more than 15 years of diverse financial industry experience. He most recently served as SVP, Chief Transformation & Strategy Officer and prior to that Mr. Pustake oversaw Berkshire's corporate development efforts, where he served as the development leader and helped define and realize Berkshire’s vision and growth strategy. Prior to joining Berkshire Bank, he served as Vice President, Head of Corporate Credit for Commerce Bank and Trust. Passionate about the intersection of innovation and growth, Mr. Pustake is known for taking a customer-centric approach to achieving profitable growth while delivering exceptional service. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management, a Master of Finance from Clark University, and a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering from the University of Pune.
