Boston — Berkshire Bank, a high-performing, relationship-based community bank in New England and New York, is pleased to announce that Robert Shanahan has joined its Consumer Lending team as a mortgage loan officer in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Shanahan has over 25 years of mortgage lending experience and works with the real estate community, self-employed individuals, investment property owners and first-time homebuyers.

Shanahan rejoins Berkshire after serving as a mortgage specialist and originator for five years at Metro Credit Union.
A resident of Newton, Massachusetts, Shanahan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
