Loan Servicing with DMI

Be on the lookout: If you have received a letter about utilizing automatic payments, Berkshire Bank is requiring all customers currently utilizing automatic payments to sign and return that letter to avoid any disruption in their automatic drafting/payment service.

Berkshire Bank is pleased to announce that it has entered into an alliance with Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. (DMI) to handle the servicing of your Berkshire Bank Mortgage and/or Home Equity Loan. DMI is one of the leading Mortgage sub-servicers in the country.

Our alliance will begin November 1, 2021 and DMI will begin sub-servicing your Berkshire Bank Mortgage and/or Home Equity Loan effective on this date.  The transition of your existing servicing arrangements will be completed on October 31, 2021.

More information on this exciting transition, along with additional details will follow in the next couple of months, but until then here are a few items to keep in mind:

  • If you have multiple loans with us, only impacts the loan number on the letter you received.
  • The address you currently make your loan payments at will be changing.
  • Automatic bill payments set up within Berkshire Bank’s online payment platform or any bill pay that was set up with another financial institution will need to be changed by you.
  • You will be required to update your Mortgagee clause with your insurance company.
  • DMI will be providing you with convenient ways to make your payments.  This includes mailing your payment to a new payment address, the ability to make phone payments, and access to their website to make online payments. Berkshire Bank will no longer accept payments made at your local branch.
