Investing in programs that foster a pathway to upward economic mobility and overall well-being, with a focus on supporting the underbanked and unbanked.

Providing access to quality affordable housing to help individuals and families gain financial stability and achieve long-term wealth, including providing a pathway to first-time homeownership.

Within our three focus areas,  small business, financial inclusion, and housing - our Foundation gives priority to the following types of requests: 

• Programs and projects whose beneficiaries include more than 51% low- and moderate-income individuals
• Programs and projects that offer Berkshire Bank employees opportunities to be involved through volunteer efforts and board service
• Programs and projects with a demonstrated, tangible record of success
